First Tampa Food Swap takes advantage of beautiful fall day

The first Tampa Food Swap went off without a hitch with swappers sharing banana bread cupcakes, chocolate chai bars, granola bars, salted caramel popcorn and homemade artisan breads. It was a beautiful fall day at Kate Jackson Park in South Tampa and great fun was had by all–including a resourceful squirrel who managed to run off with one of Darla Smoak’s chai bars, wrapper and all.

We are shooting for a winter swap in January of 2012, with the hope of having the swap somewhere on the other side of the Bay in St. Petersburg.

October 1, 2011 is the day! Join us for the first Tampa Food Swap + potluck lunch  at Anderson Park/Kate Jackson Community Center!  The swap will take place from 10am-noon for the swap, with the potluck to follow.

Food Swaps are very casual events. The purpose is to meet new people and bond over the mutual love of homemade goods.

Share your edible creations, meet your neighbors and enjoy the start of fall weather in Tampa. Places are limited, so reserve your spot soon (it’s free!). We will be accepting names for the waitlist.
